I hope everyone who is reading this first blog entry of mine is doing well so far in this month of December. I want to thank you all for taking the time to read this. To those who do not know me, let me introduce myself. My name is Ricky! I am a man who has almost 8 years of experience in supplement/health food, and fitness industry. Four of those years I worked as an assistant manager of a Vitamin Shoppe store. The remaining four years, I worked for various small privately owned gyms, and organic health food stores. I have experience in Holistic Health schooling, and lastly I am a proud veteran having served in the US Army.
The purpose of this blog is to help as many people as I can. I want to help you all make the best decision possible on what supplements (and sometimes foods) to buy to help you out with your health needs. I do want to throw a disclaimer out there, I am not a doctor. I am not here to diagnose anyone’s health issue. If you are having serious health issues and need a diagnosis, you need to go see a doctor, or better yet a Naturopathic doctor (if there is one in your area). I do know a lot more than the average person working at your local organic grocery store or supplement shop, but I am still not a doctor and can’t answer every question. For things I can’t answer I will let you know so you can seek out the proper help you need to get any health issues worked on. Although I am not a certified health practitioner just yet (that will change very soon as I am going back to school to be certified very soon!), I am writing this blog to share with you all a lot of supplement knowledge that I have learned over all the years.
Over the years I have seen hundreds of supplements (okay maybe thousands) hit the shelf. Many have come, many have gone. Many supplements you see on the shelf actually work, and work great I must say. But unfortunately, there are also many that are utterly useless.
With so many advertisements that we all see on TV shows like the Dr. Oz Show, magazine articles, even the internet. It all sounds so convincing. I’ve seen it first hand and dealt with it for years. Almost every day at for at least two years, in one store I worked at was flooded with customers asking me for that “product I heard about on the Dr. Oz show.” Expecting the product advertised to fix all their problems. Or people coming in with magazine articles that tell you very little of certain supplements or herbal products, that barely tell you how to take them properly. Worse yet, a lot of companies spend more money on marketing than making high quality products. How do you know what is good to spend your money on? I have a great idea! How about you let me help you make that decision? My goal is to eventually do a blog every week very soon. I will put up a blog post informing you all about a different high quality nutritional supplement. It can be a multi, an herb, an amino acid, a powder, or any other product I want you all to know about! I promise to keep it simple, yet very informative at the same time. If you have any questions on which supplement I posted on each post, or any other product you would like me to research for you, feel free to email me your questions at firstname.lastname@example.org! I hope to hear from you all very soon. Stay tuned because the first product I will share with you all will be coming very soon!
With love and best wishes for good health,
